Increased Metabolism at age 58!

Life Treasure Hunt

At age 55 I thought if I am going to be living longer, I want to feel well and be productive. I began to observe what happens to folks as they age, the main thing I saw that seem to me to be common if nothing was done to wort it off was:

slowing down physically and mentally

falling (loss of balance)

joints go

strength goes

wrinkles

I went on a search to increase my ability to a good quality of living until I die so I can wort off as much as I can the above phenomenon. (I was already experiencing issues with my joints before I turned 50; I had to have both hips replaced.) Don’t get me wrong I am not afraid of aging, I am enjoying this part of life. But I want to do things now to have better balance, protect my joints and preserve my mental ability as well as I can. I found foundation training to be a big help for my core strength = better balance, and I began to incorporate the moves into my yoga routine and swimming routine. The moves look awkward but it is unbelievable what muscles the moves get to, I have no back pain any more and much better posture now.

Self-Improvement

What I do 5 days a week to increase my metabolism:

First, I start with my customized pre-workout drink (click here to see what is in it), then 20 min of yoga with foundation training sprinkled throughout. Then off to my local swimming pool, for a mixture of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) which involves quick and very intense bursts of activity. I do the butterfly stoke every other lap down the pool. The alternate lap I do Isotonic & Isometric movements which I made up moves to also be relaxing; they are not your typical in the pool exercises. The moves I created can be done whatever a person’s swimming ability… when I can afford an underwater GoPro I will do a video to show what I have been doing.

I eat when I am hungry, small snack size meals, and I eat at least one food at each meal that raises my metabolism. I feel GREAT and STONGER than I did 10 years ago!
